CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS REVIEW

CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS REVIEW

"Activision and treyarch just nailed it. "

BIG TIME

AIR SUPPORT: When the fight doesn't go your way, call in an attack helicopter.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops obliterates modern warfare sales record, crowning the title with 5 days sales record totaling 650 million in worldwide revenue, busting Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 at 550 million.
COD: Black Ops takes the game to the height of the Cold War during the 60s with flashbacks sequencing of  much dark and grittier story than seen before in other COD titles, setting a standard of its own.
The story is based on  Alex Mason, being held captive and interrogated by an unknown captor and asked about NOVA 6. The Alex Mason story will be told in flashbacks.
NOVA SIX
The graphics in the game is simply amazing though its not record breaking. There are minor bugs but it will not screw up the gaming experience. The gunshots and explosions are rendered well with blood splatters and reflections. On the gun scopes, gamers can even see clearly rendered reflection of the surroundings.
Surroundings are reflected on glass lens.
Adrenaline action.
Grand Scale.
The campaign has 15 missions and last a fair time, the story brings players to different places throughout the world, uncovering the mystery behind Mason's imprisonment as you play. However, the storyline isn't perfect because it can be a little confusing and disjointed at times probably due to the frequent hops through different time periods and in flashback sequence. Causing some younger gamers a challenge to understand the story.
If you understand the story well, you will find it interesting.
Every shooted like explosions and big guns. Black Ops features heavy duty firearms, such as miniguns, RPGs, and also flame throwers. In mutliplayer, gamers even able to get hold on fire spewing shotguns and explosive crossbows.
Nothing beats an attack chopper in the early morning over Vietnam.

The campaign is polished but has its own fair share of problems. For instance, during the Battle of Khe Sanh, we faced an endless wave of enemies and there wasn't any clear indication of what we supposed to do.
We died half a dozen times while waiting for the scripted sequence to kick in. Also the AI for enemies follow scripted paths and enemies tend to appear at the same places each time a level is replayed. The AI is good at shooting but can be incredibly stupid at times and will just rush past enemies or standing still waiting for a headshot.

Black Ops also has its own fair share of bloody moments.

The online multiplayer mode is just as engaging and addictive as other previous COD titles. There are also combat training mode for players to polish their skills before taking on real opponents and also has a Zombie mode where players have to chew through waves and waves of zombies.
"Any last words Mr President?" ZOMBIE MODE.

VERDICTTM
"Call of Duty: Black Ops is a feature and action packed FPS where everyone should try it out. For every FPS gamers out there, hungry for more Modern Warfare style action, Black Ops is a worthy lookout. " Vincent.
